The greatest way to upgrade your gear in Zoltyum is through upgrade crystals.
Upgrade crystals have specific colors and utilities, making your gear stronger as much as you upgrade them.
They can also break, which means you will lose your crystal, but not your gear.
Tiers
The higher level your item is, more dificulty it will be to enhance it. Every successful upgrade gives your character 10 strength points.
There are four tiers of upgrade crystals:
- Tier 1 (T1): upgrade your gear from +0 to +15
- Tier 2 (T2): upgrade your gear from +16 to +25
- Tier 3 (T3): upgrade your gear from +26 to +35
- Tier 4 (T4): upgrade your gear from +36 to +45
Weapon Upgrade Crystals are usable to upgrade weapons and shields.
Equipment Upgrade Crystals are usable to upgrade helmet, armor, legs and boots.
Accessories Upgrade Crystals are usable to upgrade amulet, ring, backpack and ammo slot.
Healing Doll Upgrade Crystals are usable to upgrade restoration research doll obtainable in the dungeon.
Power Doll Upgrade Crystals are usable to upgrade arcane research doll obtainable in the dungeon.
Bonus Cycle
Every successful upgrade gives your item cummulative bonuses, which means, the more upgraded it is, more bonuses it will have.
Pro tip: Aim for the armor bonuses, because every armor point reduces the damage taken in 10 hit points.
For example, Equipments on every +3 increases armor by 6. So, upgrade all pieces to +3, after then to +6, +9, and so on.
